Outreach Camps in Bioregion Villages
Community outreach programs have been an integral part of Aurokiya. Comprehensive camps are designed to screen for all kinds of common eye problems, focusing exclusively on cataracts for mass volume. Minor eye ailments and refractive errors are treated at the camp site with medication or eyeglasses. Patients identified with cataracts are sent to Aravind eye Hospital for surgery while those identified with speciality conditions are referred and followed up in the center
School Screening Programs
Vision impairment and blindness in children can have negative consequences on their health, education, and prospects, which in turn can affect their future. Less than 10% of school children have their vision tested, which is needed to diagnose eye problems. We do mass school screening programs to reach children and screen them at schools.
Workplace Screening Camps
Workplace screening camps are an effective way to reach the working population. By doing screening at workplaces, eye problems like refractive errors, presbyopia, and diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma could be identified. our workplace camps target small unit to large factories.
